The Camberwell & Peckham Women’s Forum was set up in summer 2018 with the aim of increasing women’s participation at all levels of the Labour Party and reaching out to the wider community.

A workshop in October 2018 established, among other things that:

• The Forum brings women together to empower each other

• The Forum engages with women’s campaigns and groups both inside and outside the Party

• Meetings are both motivating and sociable, and are held at a variety of times and in a variety of places

•Events such as training sessions, political education, coffee mornings, visits to places of particular interest etc. are hosted by different branches every month

The Women’s Forum is a formal branch of the Labour Party. All female members of the Labour party in the Camberwell & Peckham Constituency are automatically members, and can become committee members, too. The committee consists of the Chair – who is the elected CLP Women’s Officer – and the Women’s Officers of all the branches.
