Our Constituency Standing Orders

Each Labour Party constituency has a set of procedural rules to aid in the smooth, democratic and transparent operation of the constituency and branches allowing every member to be heard and play a full and active role.

These procedural rules are often referred to as ‘standing orders‘. Don’t be concerned – unlike our Party Rule Book – this is a brief, few page document. Taking a look at the ‘standing orders’ of the CLP will give you excellent insight into what happens at a typical constituency or branch monthly meeting or annual general meeting (AGM).
